About Our PracticeWe are a team of professionals who enjoy our patients and are committed to caring for you.
Dr. Binette is normally in the office Monday - Thursday, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, closed Fridays. Wednesday morning is our surgery block at Rogue Regional Medical Center. He uses RRMC for all deliveries and surgical procedures.
Patricia Armstrong is a Family Nurse Practitioner that works in our office on Tuesday and Thursday. Her office hours are 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Her specialty is cardiology, but she offers well woman care, primary care, natural hormones & testing, and traditional menopausal hormone replacement.
Our team includes: Chandri, Carissa, Vanessa and Ashley (Front Office), Linda (surgery scheduler/managed care), Ali (bookkeeper/business office), Erin & Elaine ( RN's) and Tiffani (MA).
TELEPHONE CALLSWe ask that patients call between 9:00 am & noon and 1:15 pm & 4:00 pm. Our answering service answers our calls prior to 9:00 am, at lunch, and after 5:00 pm. We have many calls for our nurses, so they may not be able to speak with you when you call. Calls are returned in both order of medical urgency and time the call was made. It is very helpful when leaving a message with one of the front office staff that it be as specific as possible so we can route calls to the appropriate person. Patients normally can expect a return call the same day unless it is after 4:00 pm. Calls made after this time will be held until the next business day, unless it is emergent.
AFTER -HOURS CALLSOur after-hours service is designed for urgent and emergency calls that cannot wait until morning. In the event of a life-threatening emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. When emergencies occur after-hours, it is usually advisable to go to Rogue Regional Medical Center ER unless it is OB related. OB patients should go directly to the Family Birth Center at Rogue Regional Medical Center. The hospital will contact Dr. Binette as needed. Patients that call our main line after-hours with concerns will have their information forwarded to Dr. Binette. It is helpful to have the name of a pharmacy ready if a prescription will be needed.
PRESCRIPTION REFILLSRefills are handled during regular office hours. We ask that all refills, even those for expired prescriptions, are requested from the patients= pharmacy. We refill medications Monday through Thursday. Dr. Binette is not in the office every Friday, so requests made on this day may be held until Monday. Please review prescription needs and request refills in a timely manner to keep from running out of medication. We ask for 48 hours turn- around time to process requests.
LABORATORY SERVICESThe majority of our lab services are handled by outside labs that bill directly. When we receive results we notify our patients by mail within 1 to 2 weeks. Patients will be contacted by phone if certain tests require further follow-up.
RELEASE OF MEDICAL RECORDSMedical records are strictly confidential. Permission is required prior to release of information about patient care. We must have a signed release in order to release records and ask for a 72 hour turn- around time to copy and release records. We will provide a patient with a copy of their records when requested as a courtesy. Additional copies will be charged a $25 copying fee.
DISABILITY / FMLA PAPERWORKOur office fills out forms for disability and leave of absence for post-partum, surgery, and personal medical reasons. We will fill out the first form as a courtesy. Additional forms for the same disability or leave reason will have an $8 charge per form.
We know your time is valuable and we try to schedule patients with this in mind. Dr. Binette, however, will at times need to leave the office during the day to check on or deliver a patient. We try to keep our patients informed of what is happening and how long we anticipate their delay, if any. Please let us know if you will need to reschedule, we will try our best to accommodate you. Again, thank you for choosing our office, our goal is to provide you with excellent care.
